Rose Red (2002, PG-13, 254)

Stephen King tells very descriptive, lengthy, scary stories.  Rose Red falls in this category.  This is a good one for older kids; Regardless of PG-13 some scenes were a little “adult.”  A woman marries a very rich man, he builds her a house, he becomes a raging ass, and then house is alive and doesn’t like that.  Decades later Nancy Travis wants to prove the phenomenon and brings the house many spiritually gifted people to awaken it.  This movie, as usual with Stephen King, was good just long.  Take a few nights to watch it.
